The Administrative Court handles the appeal. They review the case and start a written procedure where you and the relevant authority can answer questions asked by the court. The competent authority will then inform you whether they acknowledge or deny your request for amendment of the appeal and the reasons for their attitude.

In some cases there may also be an oral hearing in the Administrative Court, this may occur either on the initiative of the court or by any of the parties. The purpose of the oral hearing is to supplement the written procedure if it is not sufficient to base a decision on. Important for the parties to know is that the hearing is usually public, which means that anyone from the public has access.

However, in particularly sensitive cases, the court may decide to have an oral hearing with closed doors, so the public don´t have access to the information.

It can be complicated to take action in an appeal process against an authority, so it may feel safe to get help from a lawyer who can handle it for you. We can assist you with the whole process, partly by making an appeal, and by contacting the relevant authority and Administrative Court. However, it is important that you contact us as soon as possible after you have received the decision to appeal within the deadline.

If you wish to get our help with your appeal process you will need to hand over a power of attorney, giving us permission to represent you in court, only then we can take your action against the authority.
